Yes, Toketee Falls is an easy hike, and one of the most peaceful walks I have taken in Oregon. I am Sherrene Hagenbach-Winters, a Realtor with eXp Realty Oregon in Central Oregon, and when I am not helping someone with a move, you will usually find me on a trail.

Is Toketee Falls an easy hike?

It is. I would call it easy. We spent about an hour on it, and that was only because we wanted to take it all in. You do not have to rush this one, and I would not.

When should I go to Toketee Falls?

We went in May for this look, with everything green and the water full and moving. When we were there it was quiet, and we had the trail almost to ourselves.

What should I bring?

Pack a little lunch. There are beautiful places to sit near the falls or under the trees, and it is the kind of spot where you want to stay a while. Bring water and good walking shoes too.

Who is this hike good for?

Anyone who is able to walk a trail. Kids would love it, with shade the whole way and plenty to explore. If you want a calm, beautiful outing without a hard climb, this is the one I would send you to.

Did you see Watson Falls too?

We did. Watson Falls is in the same area, and it was part of the same trip in May. If you are making the drive, it is worth seeing both.

Why does a Realtor write about hiking?

Because the outdoors is a big part of why people choose to live in Oregon. When clients ask me what life here is really like, I tell them about places like this. Thinking about a move to Central Oregon? Start a conversation at sherrenehagenbachwinters.com.
